Less Hustle More MOJO

194. Less Hustle, More Mojo – The Start of a New Season!!

Most of the expert entrepreneurs I work with have built amazing businesses. They’re trusted. They deliver real results. They’re great in the room.

Yet when it comes to showing up online… things get a little murky.

I hear this all the time:

“I know I’m great at what I do — but online, I feel invisible.” “I don’t want to chase trends or pretend to be someone I’m not.”

And after hearing this kind of thing pretty often — it’s clear: This isn’t about learning the latest marketing hacks. It’s about stepping off the content treadmill — and finding a smarter way to show up.

That’s why the new season of The Standout Business Show is making a shift.

We’re diving into:

✅ How expert entrepreneurs build visibility, trust, and demand — without feeding the content machine

✅ How to turn one conversation into a month of trust-building content

✅ How to stand out — by showing up as yourself

The new season is called: Less Hustle, More Mojo.

Because becoming unforgettable doesn’t take more hustle. It takes reclaiming your expert business mojo — and finding a smarter way to show up.

Brad Powell:

I was on a call with a client last week and he’s built this incredible business. He’s got a great reputation, great results. And he said to me Brad, I know I’m great at what I do, but when it comes to being online, I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. I don’t know anything about this stuff, and I’ll tell you what I don’t like. When I see on LinkedIn someone gets an award and they post it and they send the hey, I’m so proud to get this award. It just feels fake. And I thought, yeah, I hear something like this almost every week. And the truth is, most of the expert entrepreneurs that I know are not trying to be influencers. They just want their online presence to match the trust that they’ve already built offline. But so much of what’s out there the content advice, the marketing hacks and trends it’s built for the algorithm, not for experts, and that’s why this new season of the show is going to sound a little different. We’re talking about how to build visibility, trust and demand without burning out, without performing and without feeding the content machine, the giant monster. Because standing out today it is not about doing more, it’s about showing up and standing out differently. So let’s get started. So let’s get started.

Brad Powell:

Welcome back to the Standout Business Show, where we reverse engineer how expert entrepreneurs build trusted, high authority brands without becoming fuel for the content machine. How do you like that for a new opening line? And if you’ve been listening for a while, you might notice we’re starting this new season with a slightly different tone. I’m calling it Less Hustle, More Mojo, and I want to take a few minutes today to tell you why. Over the last year, I’ve been having a lot of conversations with expert entrepreneurs, and these are the coaches, consultants, agency founders, fractional CMOs. These are all people who are great at what they do and they’re already running a successful business. But there’s this common thread While they’re amazing in the room, but online they feel invisible, unrecognized and what I like to refer to as underexposed or worse, like the only way to be seen is to perform, chase trends and try to be somebody that they’re not, and most of them are quietly resisting it, which is why this new season of the show is leaning hard into this. How do you build visibility and trust without becoming fuel for the content machine? How do you show up as you and actually stand out while you’re doing it? How do you build content that sounds like trust, not marketing. That’s what we’re going to be reverse engineering this season and here’s what you can expect. We’re going to break down exactly how expert entrepreneurs are turning one conversation into a month of trust building content. We’re going to explore belief shifts that move people from not ready to right now, and we’ll show how you can reclaim your business mojo by showing up as you are.

Brad Powell:

You’re going to hear more solo episodes from me, and soon you’re going to hear you’ll also hear conversations with the experts who were doing this in the wild, building trust and visibility without the burnout. One of the people I’ve lined up is a woman named Sandra Pike, who is a realtor who lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and I actually heard about Sandra several years ago and her story is that she moved to Nova Scotia from Newfoundland. She landed in town, she didn’t know anybody, she had no connections, no visibility, but she started fooling around with Instagram Reels and she successfully built a strong personal brand and she has since become one of the leading realtors in all of Canada. And I’m actually going to Nova Scotia for a college reunion later this month and I’m going to meet with Sandra in person so I can dive deep into retelling her story, so stay tuned for that. But honestly, the reason I’m making this shift is because I’ve been seeing the same patterns in my own business.

Brad Powell:

Today I was listening to a really cool interview with New York Times reporter Ezra Klein and this was on the podcast how I Write and he was talking about the matrix style of downloading information. You know that thing where they stick the tube into the back of your brain and no time at all all the information comes to you and so that way of getting information versus, let’s say, spending seven hours reading a book. What he said that stuck with me was that the time you spend grappling with a topic, that seven hours and then coming away with your own insights, that’s the part that’s super valuable. That’s the part that gives you this real, genuine experience and insight and new way of looking at things that you can’t just get from, say, reading a summary. And yet now we live in a world where lots of young folks with very little experience are able to garner a whole bunch of attention online and, at the same time, many of the most experienced expert business owners remain mostly undiscovered.

Brad Powell:

So, in carving my own path with the work that I do.

Brad Powell:

I have built my own visibility around a combination of relationship building and simple conversations, and this is what I call mic drop moments. These are the moments where your expertise naturally shines without you needing to perform, and it takes you out of the role of being a content creator and lets you simply document those moments when you’re in your zone of genius, and that’s what I want for you. So the theme of the new season less hustle, more mojo. If you’ve got mojo in the room but not so much online, if you’re tired of the performative style of marketing, if you want visibility that feels aligned with exactly who you are, this new season is for you. So let’s ditch the content machine together. If this resonates with you, here’s what you can do Follow the show so you don’t miss what’s coming, and if you know another expert who needs this message, please forward this episode to them, because this season we are here to reclaim our business expert mojo, and I can’t wait to dive in with you. So long,
