Fight Fear, Show Yourself with Luvvie Ajayi Jones & Whitney Lauritsen
What happens when people commit to a life that feels audacious?
This is the question raised by Luvvie Ajayi Jones, who’s on a mission to empower 1 million people to fight their fear and to insist on doing what feels right for the greater good.
She just published her new book called, “Professional Troublemaker, The Fear Fighter Manual.”
Last week when I was talking with Whitney Lauritsen about how to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, she brought up the issue for women who feel the pressure of wearing makeup and doing their hair whenever they get on camera.
From that I was inspired to continue the conversation of how we could all become a facilitator of discomfort. And how by going outside your comfort zone and showing yourself, you can give others permission to move outside their comfort zone and start showing up.
This led me directly to discover Luvvie’s new book which I immediately downloaded on Audible.
And it led me to making this video for you over the weekend – with examples of a few brave women who are facilitating discomfort, insisting on doing what feels right and showing their true selves.
So, here’s the start of what I hope will be an ongoing conversation:
How do you claim your right to show yourself?
What are you doing this week to show up in a truly beautiful way? To reach for something big? To insist on doing what feels right for the greater good?
Here’s some ways to join the conversation:
