24. Become an Extrovert or Become Irrelevant?

This episode is a little rant about what I call, “The Fake Marketing Premise.”

This is the message that almost all marketing gurus are spreading: “Become an Extrovert of Become Irrelevant.”

It’s a message that says the only way to be successful is to show up everywhere and shout louder than everyone else.

Why is it fake?

Because, if you’re not an extrovert, then you have to pretend to be one in order to succeed.

Grant Cardone and Gary Vaynerchuk are probably the two biggest purveyors of this school of thought.

Their message is basically, “Be like us! Become something you’re not. And if you don’t do that you’re going to be left behind.”

But, there’s a completely different option available. You don’t need to change who you are at all.

You can build a system around you that takes advantages of your strengths, makes up for your weaknesses and allows you to be who you are.

It’s what I’ve done with my Big Reach Broadcast System which is designed for introverted experts: coaches, consultants, authors. And you might find that it’s the right marketing system for you too.
