23. Hate Webinars? Try Audio.
If you hate webinars like I do, stick with me and I’ll show you why I believe short form audio can give you better engagement.
Yes, I hate webinars.
It’s because they almost always involve some guy going on and on with a “rags to riches” story and how he overcame big challenges and how you can too by following his “secret formula.” And then, after giving you a couple of quick tips, goes on to pitch his online course that costs a thousand dollars or more.
I end up feeling like I just wasted an hour. 😟
And if you’ve been hosting webinars, even ones that give great value have a hard time getting those who register to actually show up (only about 1/3rd on average) and getting those who show up to stay until the end when you make your offer.
The truth is most people are too busy to dedicate an hour or more to sit in front of a computer and watch a webinar – no matter how good it might be. It’s just too demanding.
Over the past year, I’ve started using a different medium. One that allows people to learn what they’re looking for on their own time and in a way that fits into their busy schedules.
It’s private audio.
Instead of an hour-long webinar (or even a multi-day challenge) you can host a short form audio series of 4-8 episodes. Your audience can subscribe to it and listen to it on their favorite podcast app on their phone.
While they’re driving. 🚘.
Or walking their dog. 🐶
Or taking their kids to school. 🎓
Because it’s a podcast, they’re so much more likely to binge-listen to the whole series. (93% podcast fans listen to most of an episode.) They get to learn from you in an intimate, 1-1 setting. And they can see clearly if they’re a good for your offer.
And here’s the good news.
I’ve created a free training that will walk you through the strategy of creating an audio lead magnet and nurture sequence you can create to grow your audience.
You can get the FREE training right here.
Yes, the Big Reach Audio Guide is a private podcast 🎧 so you’ll get a first-hand experience in how this strategy works!
